Fall Time in Florida
Fall is here and it’s my favorite time of the year! I live for fall inspired foods, drinks, and especially fall fashion! Now I will admit that living in Florida, we don’t get the most ideal type of fall but it’s fall nonetheless! We still have some pretty cute fall time activities available for us, like pumpkin patches, corn mazes, etc. So we’re not totally out of the loop!
One thing Steven and I like to do when the weather starts to cool down is to hit up a park and have a picnic. It’s a cheap and fun activity that we can do all whilst enjoying the outdoors and the SLIGHTLY cooler weather 😉
Packing Healthy for a Picnic
Steven and I definitely love food and we do indulge time to time. But we try our best to keep our daily diets clean and simple: Organic, all natural, no added preservatives. We both have pretty active lifestyles and our health is important to us. We want to make sure that food that we are fueling our bodies is high quality!
Finding organic, high quality products doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg either. When we found out that we were going to have good weather this weekend, I headed over to Wal-Mart to pick up some picnic essential. More especially to pick up Sanaia Applesauce. Both Steven and I are fans of Sanaia Applesauce because their organic, GMO-free, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergen-free. All this at an affordable price point. We like that it’s an “adult” applesauce, it doesn’t look OR taste like something you would have had as a kid. There’s a variety of different flavors but I picked up the unsweetened and guava flavor.
Living Healthy During the Fall
I know a lot of times when we think of fall, we think of all the yummy fall time treats! And while we do love pumpkin-anything or cranberry everything, there are a ton of healthy alternatives out there for anyone to indulge in! A product like Sanaia is great because you can implement this product to make healthier choices. For us, we picked up Sanaia for our picnic to have as our dessert. Sanaia has real bits of granny smith apples in every bite! I enjoy how sweet and tart it tastes, it definitely satisfies my sweet tooth. I did pick up a few extras to make a vegan banana nut bread sometime this week as well. You can use Sanaia Applesauce in a number of baking recipes.
We added this to our picnic as a dessert because it’s a great alternative to sugary desserts. We had ours plain, but sometimes we add granola and nuts! To really make it a fall inspired snack, try adding pumpkin seeds and a fall inspired granola. The unsweetened flavor is 60 calories but don’t let the low cals fool you! It’s still really flavorful and delicious. The guava flavor is 80 cals and is my favorite one. I love the tart taste!
I really hope you guys get out this fall and try having a picnic! And definitely pick up Sanaia for a tasty treat, whether you’re having it as a snack or using it in a delicious fall inspired baked treat.
Until next time,
