Beauty is something we all seem to worry about at some point in our lives, and it is something we all seem to have a different perception of. It used to be the case that only females would care about beauty, but it’s now so common for a lot of men to care more about their appearances than women actually would! But us women take a little more pride in the beauty side of things than men typically would. We like to doll up every now and then to make ourselves feel good, and we try and make ourselves look acceptable on a daily basis. But we bet we’ve got a few beauty secrets that you need to know about. Ones that differ from the normal beauty hacks we might already know about. Because if there’s one thing that’s really important about beauty, it’s that it should be varied and interesting if we want to keep ourselves looking our best. If you’re intrigued, have a read of the beauty secrets below.
Hair
So, let’s work from the top down. A good hair do is essential to a lot of people, but not a lot of people can pull of multiple different hair styles. If you dye your hair, you’ve most likely encountered a bit of damage along the way. In fact, dying hair can noticeably bring on split ends, dry hair, all round damage, and eventually a loss of colour. It can also make hair pretty thin on the ground after a while. Whilst dying hair gives us the freedom of difference and allows us to enjoy creativity, it definitely comes with its risks. If you had lovely thick flowing hair before, but you’re noticing it’s starting to get a little thin on the ground, then you should consider using fine hair products. Used daily, they’ll help to give your hair that full thickness it is needing.
If you don’t dye your hair, but your hair is still looking a little dry and damaged, perhaps due to a lack of heat protection when styling it. You can either go for the drug store version, and buy a lovely hair mask specific for repairing hair, which there are plenty of. Or you could go for a homemade version that might not smell as sweet and nice, but it will definitely do a good job. If you’re looking for a recipe, you can check out the ones listed here. In general though, you should always make sure you’re protecting your hair before styling it with items you can buy from supermarkets. Furthermore, if you are going to dye your hair, it’s best to get it done by a salon or a mobile hairdresser. The ones that you can buy from the supermarkets are full of so many chemicals, and they often don’t have to conditioners and treatments that salons do to make sure your hair is kept in the best condition possible.
Wigs and Hair Extensions
One little hair beauty secret that the celebs seem to love, and us normal people don’t seem to use much, is the use of wigs. Rather than dying your hair and styling it all different types of ways to cause harm to it. You could use the wig as another option for your hair. You’d have to get a professional one as it’s so noticeable if a cheaper, lower quality one is worn. Pretty much all the celebs are doing this, but especially the Kardashians, and their hair seems to be flowing naturally and amazing all the time, you wouldn’t even know that it was a wig.
Face
The face is the most important part to a lot of people. Hair often comes second, but there’s no reason why these two shouldn’t be joint first. Everyone has different skin types that can make managing the face hard to work with. Let’s start with those of you who suffer with dry skin to begin with.
Dry Skin
It can be an absolute nightmare to deal with, especially when trying to put any type of makeup over it. So, the best thing we can advise the dry skin sufferers is to use the beauty secret of face scrubs. You might be thinking, beauty secret?! We understand they’re no secret, but people don’t tend to use them as they should do. Using them around three times a week will help your skin to be clear of the dead skin and build up of dry skin that you might be suffering from. People who use them regularly report skin is smoother, more subtle, and there’s a massive reduction in the build up of dry skin. We also recommend using a serum as well as a face cream. Serums go deeper into the pores of the skin, giving that deep moisturize that your skin might so badly need.
Oily Skin
If you suffer with oily skin, then yours might be a little harder to treat. Diet has a lot to do with people that suffer with oily skin. If you know you’re terrible for filling your diet with greasy foods, it’ll literally radiate out of your pores. And that gives you that greasy oily feeling you hate. Try and keep to clean eating with plenty of hydration from water. There’s also the option of using oily skin remover paper after applying makeup. It catches that oil that’s giving your face the shine you hate, leaving you free from it for a few hours. Ultimately however, you should be looking to use special face creams, face washes, and face scrubs on a daily basis to try and keep it at bay. It isn’t as easy to solve as dry skin, and a lot of it is actually due to the hormones we produce as women. It might be something so simple as the birth control pill you’re on causing the oily skin for you, especially if it is accompanied by weight gain and a spot outbreak. Don’t be afraid to try multiple different forms of birth control before settling with one. You’ll often find one works perfectly for you, and others are just terrible.
So there we go, a few beauty secrets that should keep your hair and face in the most perfect condition!
Until next time,
