Summer Refresh: Home Decor Under $40
Being stuck at home and missing out on those summer vibes has me really itching to bring in some summer vibes into my home. Last night I did some mindless scrolling on Instagram. I then proceeded to check out the home decor section on Target.com. Target has been KILLING it with giving us a tropical moment and I’m here for it. Over the years, I’ve really turned to Target for some key decorating pieces for my home.
Inspired by summer AND keeping it a reasonable budget, I want to share my top finds for a quick summer refresh to bring in those lush summer vibes into your home.
1.Green Palm Framed Print: $27.99
I’m all for a palm print and I especially love a palm print photo. For under $30, this framed print can had a lush pop of green your home needs.
2. Opalhouse™ Rug Basket With Detail White: $19.99
I always have like a million blankets in my living room so a basket like this is definitely needed. I think it’s pretty obvious that I have a thing for texture detail like this, sue me! But seriously, this basket is great for storing blankets, doggie or kitty toys, you could even put it in a bathroom to store paper products or towels. It’s a must have.
3. Opalhouse™ Classic Serving Tray with Handles: $20.00
I’m a tray fan. I think a tray is a household essential. This one is perfect for a dinning room table or even on a larger coffee table. This is also great to use as an actual serving tray for outdoor hangouts. I like bringing in earthy elements into decor and a tray is a great way to add that touch.
4. Threshold™ Knot Figurine Natural: $20.00
This knot figurine is simple and understated but can completely “tie” a space together…. you see what I did there?! LOL Anyways, this a great piece to bring a coffee table together. For example you can add this on top of coffee table books. You could also use this as a decorative piece on a bookshelf. The possibilities are endless!
5. Opalhouse™ Square Embellished Cockatoo Pillow with Tassels: $25.00
Always love a good decorative pillow! This one is the perfect summer pillow you need to liven up your space! The colors are bright and fun and the print is giving you that tropical moment you need.
6. Threshold™ Fiddle Leaf Fig Plant in Pot: $40.00
Hello! We live for a good fiddle tree! Now here’s my thing, I love live plants BUT I have a cat that also loves chewing on anything green that resembles a leaf. So in our household we have to opt for fake plants. Also, not everyone lives in a space that has the appropriate lighting for plants so fake plants can fill that void.
7. Opalhouse™ Blue Leopard Bookends: $25.00
I love the color and the look of these book ends. I think they would look beautiful on a bookshelf or displayed on an entry way table. Honestly, the possiblities are endless. They don’t have to be used as book ends. Plus everyone needs some kind of cat item in their home 😉
8. Opalhouse™ Textured Pouf Ottoman: $49.99
Okay, you know I always through in one item that’s a little bit over budget. But this one is only $10 over budget and it’s worth it. I love the look of this textured ottoman. I love bringing in textures like this into a space because it adds a different feel and element. This is great if you have a more boho style, but also fits into a more girly space. It’s quite verstile.
I hope you guys enjoyed my picks! What kind of style do you want me to do next time? What home decor are you interested in seeing? Any price ranges you’re looking at? Let me know in the comments below!

I’ve got a thing for palm print- loving that framed picture! Also, I think it was here on your blog that you recommended the book Crave by Tracy Wolff. I just wanted to say I bought it and I’m currently reading it, thanks to you! I never heard of it before your blog post.
