The 2016 Oscars Best Red Carpet Looks

 

 

 

Two words for this year’s Oscars: underwhelmed and unimpressed. With that being said, there were a few looks out there that caught my eye. The Oscars red carpet is where the best of the best come out and play but in recent years I’ve found that this hasn’t been the case.  I narrowed it down to my top five looks. They are listed in no particular order (although Cate takes my #1 spot lol)

 

• Charlize Theron in Dior

I’m always down for a good red moment and this is perfect. It’s very Charlize and very Dior. The whole looks is polished, from the simple hair and makeup to the daring silhouette to the right amount of bling.

 

• Cate Blanchett in Armani Prive

Hands down my favorite look of the night. The color looks amazing on Cate and gets me excited for spring! It’s fashion at it’s finest. The overall look is wonderful because she looks glowing and fresh.

• Olivia Munn in Stella McCartney

I’m not sure what it is, but I’m in love with this look. I think Olivia looks stunning especially since I feel like this color is hard to pull off. The dress is simple, yet interesting. Her makeup and hair pull the look together without being overwhelming since she’s wearing such a BAM color.

• Priyanka Chopra in Zuhair Murad

I love this style dress and when styled correctly it can really be a show stopper. Priyanka looks stunning in this silhouette and the color looks beautiful on her. The one thing I may have changed would be the lip color. A brighter color would have really stood out more and really freshened up the makeup.

• Rooney Mara in Givenchy

This dress is everything to me. Rooney is giving me everything I love about the red carpet. The dress is oddly both not and very much her style…..Does that make sense? Her makeup and hair are her style and bring together the look. It’s Rooney Mara style with high end runway fashion flair.
