The Weekly Roundup: Favorites of the Week – Ep 2
Happy Sunday! It’s time for the weekly roundup where I share my favorites of the week. This past week was pretty quiet. I’ve been a little stressed over finding a new couch. I know that sounds silly but seriously, a couch is a huge investment. Our living room is on the smaller side so size places a big role on what we can purchase.
We also have a cat, so all you cat owners will know what I’m struggling over. I don’t want to spend a lot of money because our fur baby will scratch it. But there are also couches out there that cats don’t like/can’t scratch but I don’t want to sacrifice comfort. It’s a whole ordeal! So last Wednesday I went to a local furniture outlet and I’ve narrowed it down to three couches. One of which is a beautiful Cloud dupe. Hopefully this week we’ll make a decision and have a new couch!
But enough about my unimportant couch drama, let’s get into my favorites of this week!
Favorite Clothing Item
Last week, I shared a sweatshirt I was loving so I thought it was only fitting that I shared these sweatpants. As a work from home girlie and someone that spends a little too much time at home, comfort is always key. I definitely don’t want to be in my jammies all day so sweats with a Skims top has been the uniform.
Favorite Jewelry Piece
These stunning dupe earrings are definitely worth buying if you’ve been eyeing them for awhile. Not only are they affordable, but they are so stylish and chic and elevate any outfit. I’m a basic outfit kind of girl who loves gold accessories. I feel like good jewelry can make any outfit look much more stylish.
Favorite Skin Care Product
My skin has been acting real crazy since my allergic reaction so I’ve been trying to be really gentle with my face. When I’m having blemish issues like I’m currently experiencing I tend to use more gentle products and gear more towards Asian skin care, specifically Korean or Japanese. This blemish cream is my favorite right now with my stubborn hormonal acne. It does what it needs to do without drying out my skin.
Favorite Book
Okay, so this book isn’t for everybody, it’s a bit of a darker romance novel that my fellow smut readers may enjoy. I’m throwing out some major trigger warning, so proceed with caution. It doesn’t have a lot of themes I would associate with dark romance, but it does have stalking and death.
We have a morally grey male lead who would do anything for our female protagonist. I was definitely invested in their relationship and seeing how things would work out. Then we were left with a MAJOR cliffhanger so I’m patiently waiting for October 29th when I get download book 2.
I think if you’re someone who likes dark romance with strong obsession, stalking themes then this is worth the read. All my non-smut readers, just look the other way. 🙂
Conclusion
I can’t believe how fast this month has gone. We’re almost at the end of October! Now the rest of the year will FLY by. I have some fun posts coming out so I hope you stick around and give them a read. Let me know what you’ve been loving this week in the comments below.
Until next time,
