I’m guilty. Sometimes I have a dry scalp….. it can be the worst when it acts up. I feel like everyone is looking at my hair and dandruff. But I know that’s not case, but you know it just feels like it…
I’m at the stage now that I understand what I need to do to manage my dry scalp and keep it in tip top shape!
Today I wanted to share with you some products I use and how I keep my scalp hydrated and healthy. Scalp Relief Treatment
Soothing an itchy scalp
One of the downsides of living in Florida is that the weather can be a bit all over the place. This has been an issue for me because the weather changes effect my skin. It doesn’t get cold here often, but the change from warm weather to cold causes my scalp to go dry.
When I know that weather change is around the corner, I like using the Derma E Scalp Relief Treatment. The scalp treatment has tea tree oil which helps cleanse the scalp, this in turn improves the overall health of my scalp.
I apply the treatment after I’ve washed my hair. I massage it in for like 3-5 mins. A scalp massage is beneficial for overall health. I try doing a massage at least three times a week.
Washing and Conditioning
There have been a couple of different dry scalp shampoo and conditioners and honestly I’ve had some mixed results. There have been some products that have been to harsh and you definitely want to avoid harsh ingredients when you’re dealing with a dry scalp. The dry scalp shampoo and conditioner from Derma E has some great gentle ingredients that get the job done. With tea tree, white willow bark extract and aloe Vera, the DermaE shampoo soothes an itchy, dry scalp gently. It also contains salicylic acid that exfoliates dry skin and an other product build up that may be on the skin.
Hair oil to improve hair health
After taking care of my scalp, I like to make sure my actual hair strands are shown some love. A good hair oil is important to my hair routine. Because I have color treated hair, my hair can get quite fried. It’s also important for me to use products that won’t effect my hair color. The Derma E bonding hair oil has jojoba oil that keeps my hair moisturized. It also has chaga mushroom which helps in supporting a healthy scalp. When your scalp is healthy, your hair will be healthy.
What are some go to products and treatments you use to help keep your scalp and hair healthy? I’d love to know!
Until next time,
Disclaimer: The Derma E products were gifted to me, however, I do normally use Derma E products. I love to share products that I love and use, I would not recommend anything I didn’t love. These are my opinions and this was not a paid for post.
