#whatiworewednesday: military green theme

 

Okay, so I’m slightly obsessed with military green. I’m not the biggest fan of other shades of green but I can rock with military green any day of the week. I think it’s a shade you can wear any time of the year. Much like my dress in my last #whatiworewednesday post, this dress is from last season and from an affordable store: Forever 21. I believe it was around $12 so definitely not a price that breaks the bank.

I added this Kendal and Kylie cardigan around my waist because my fiance and I went out to lunch this day and sometimes I can get cold in the restaurants. One of the reasons I love this dress so much is because it actually has an exposed back. But from the front you can’t tell that it’s a little scandalous in the back 😉 it just looks like your normal, basic t-shirt dress.

Funny thing about this Zac Posen bag. When I ordered it online, I thought it was going to be more a brown color. I was in the market for a brown bag and thought this would be perfect. When I received it though, the color in person looks NOTHING like the color online. It definitely is way more purple in person. I was super disappointed about it especially since I thought I would never wear it. I considered reselling it but low and behold! I actually wear this bag a TON and I really love it! Because it has a shoulder strap, it’s super easy to wear.

So if you ever find yourself in the Orlando area (or if you’re reading this and live here) do yourself a favor and venture to Park Ave in Winter Park. One of my favorite Tex-Mex restaurants, Cocina 214, is located there. It’s a bit “fancier” in terms of Tex-Mex but it’s totally worth it! My fiance and I stopped there for lunch. I normally go for their steak street tacos but today I went with the veggie tacos and let me tell you,  THEY ARE LIFE. I literally dream about these tacos. Their food is fresh, high quality and super flavorful. On top of that, the service is fast, efficient and friendly. If you’re into drinks, they have one of the best happy hours in Orlando. And obviously I have to shout out the fact that they serve brunch on the weekends! The actual brunch menu is small, but who cares it’s delicious! So day drink on, mis amigos!

  6. I can’t wear this colour at all. I’m far too pale and Irish! You should try out Pic Monkey and their free photo editing tool to lighten your photos 🙂 it could make them pop a bit more and drive more traffic from pinterest 🙂 great post! You really suit that look.

  7. I also love military green. I love this dress. I’ve been looking everywhere for cool military style pants and it took me all the way to Europe to finally find a good pair. This is a great look. Now I’m off to find a dress 🙂
